Before coming to Toronto, I studied Philosophy at Oxford University, where I earned my B.Phil. (master’s) and D.Phil. (doctorate). While completing my graduate work, I spent a visiting year doing Philosophy at New York University. Before Oxford, I studied Philosophy, Mathematics, and Economics at McGill University.
My background is in philosophical logic and the philosophy of language, as well as metaphysics and epistemology. I have done teaching in these areas, as well as Aristotle and Frege.
I am becoming increasingly interested in legal, political, and moral philosophy.
